The Big Island (officially named Hawai’i) is the youngest and the largest of the Hawaiian islands. You can travel through all but 4 of the world’s different climate zones here, ranging from Wet Tropical to Polar Tundra. The Big Island is home to the tallest sea mountain and the largest volcano in the world. Our total land area of 4,028 square miles the Big Island is almost twice as big as all other islands combined.
